Rene has been an advocate for truth and justice as a trial attorney for over 22 years. He is a former City Attorney for the City of Laredo, former Chief Prosecutor in the 49th Judicial District Court for the District Attorney’s Office in Webb County, and former Assistant United States Attorney.
Rene has many years in private practice handling personal injury litigation and is board certified in personal injury trial law with the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Rene opened up his own law firm July of 2021 with the drive and passion to fight for what is right, to litigate and to seek justice for all his clients.
Rene Carlo Benavides was born in Laredo, Texas where he lived his early childhood years. He is a graduate of Zapata High School. His parents, Ramon and Leonor Benavides live in Zapata County.
Rene is married to Linda L. Benavides. They are proud parents of three children: Rene Carlo Benavides, Jr.; Lauren Elizabeth Benavides and Ryan Christopher Benavides.
